What we believe

There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be self-existent, one Being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is God's Anointed One and empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God's Kingdom on Earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, buried, resurrected and ascended into Heaven and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father. He is fully God and fully man.

Luke 1:26-38, Matthew 3:16-17, Romans 5:6-11, Philippians 2:6-11

The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths and ways of living. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

Creation and the Fall

We believe in the literal, special creation of the existing space-time universe and all of its basic systems as indicated in Genesis. Humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. As a result sickness, death, and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin including being born with a sin nature.

Salvation and New Life Through Jesus Christ

We are saved by God's grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4 is poured out on believers that they might have God's power to be His witnesses. Believers are given gifts by the Holy Spirit which are intended to be used to minister to both the saved and the lost.

1 Thessalonians 4:7-8, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:4, Acts 19:1-6, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Jesus Christ took upon himself all sin, sickness, disease and physical pain while on the cross. All people, by putting their faith in Jesus and his work on the cross, have access to the physical and emotional healing that Jesus provides.

Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:14-17, Mark 16:18

We believe that the Bible defines marriage as the covenant relationship between a man and a woman in an exclusive union. The importance of this union to society requires that we support and protect marriage as the Word of God does.

The Church

The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. The church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His Kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God's love and to disciple the nations; teaching them to love and obey God. We believe in the local public gathering of the church.

Water Baptism and Communion

We believe the church is to carry out these two ordinances found in scripture. We believe in the necessity of Water Baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Christ. We believe in taking part in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers as a way of remembrance for all that Jesus has done on our behalf.

Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 19:1-6, 1 Corinthians 11:23-32

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride, the church.

Eternal Destination

Heaven and Hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost. The saved will have eternal life with God in Heaven. The lost will be in the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels in Hell.
